Survival/Hunting Takedown Bow Review and Giveaway
It is not often we get the opportunity to take a look at two industry powerhouses like we did with this review. In this review we are going to consider two takedown survival bows, that could easily be used for everyday shooting and hunting as well. There are some high points and low points for each bow. Let’s get to it. (Please note there is also an extended video review at the bottom of this post.)
First off we ordered straight from the websites of both of these bows. We got 50# pulls on each, so that we could have a good comparison. We wanted to take a good look at four critical aspects of the bows; specifications, portability, engineering and usability. To make things easier to assess, we put them in this handy-dandy chart for you.
|Closed Bow Length||21||23|
|Opened Bow Length||60||58|
|String Included||Yes||Special Deal Yes|
|Warranty||12 months||none declared|
|Pulls Available||50,55,65#||40, 50, 55 #|
|Pull Test Design*||infinity||2500|
|Price on 3 Arrows||$45||$45|
|Price of Bow||$179.95||$158.95|
*I would like to make note of a couple of items on this chart. The test design amount used to be on PGUs website, but I can no longer find it on the most recent update of it. If someone has other info, please advise. Secondly I took the arrow speed from the respective websites, I do not own a chronograph to check myself.
I hope these notes and the video review give you a good idea of why I choose the SAS bow over the PGU. I like them so much I want to buy myself a new one and give the one in the video away.
